MRG Gets New Single Chair

The 2008 season marks a new era as Mad River Glen unveils its “spanking new” Single Chair. This past summer “ Old Faithful” received a $1.54 million historic rehabilitation. Triple Major College Pass

As if carrying two majors weren’t enough, college students can now show off their smarts on more classic terrain with New England’s newest college season pass, the Triple Major. Added to the course schedule for the 2007-2008 season is Mad River Glen, which teams up with Double Major upper classmen Jay Peak Resort and Bolton Valley Resort, to offer unlimited access to all three resorts, all winter, for only $269. There are no restrictions at any of the resorts, and the pass includes night skiing and riding at Bolton Valley Resort until 9pm. The pass price increases to $329 after Nov. 5.More

The Campaign for the Single Chair

The Mad River Glen Co-op began a fundraising campaign long before the historic rehabilitation of the Single Chair ever began this past summer. In fact it all began when the Co-op developed a unique partnership with two non-profit groups, the Stark Mountain Foundation and Preservation Trust of Vermont. Due to the hard work of many volunteers along with the spirit and energy of the Mad River Glen community the Single Chair Capital Campaign has already raised nearly $1.2 million towards the ultimate goal of $1.54 million.   More

Ski It If You Can!

For nearly 25 years, the name Mad River Glen has been synonymous with its “Ski It If You Can” slogan. Over the past two decades, the simple yet bold red and white bumper sticker has become an icon. The bumper sticker has become a badge of honor for skiers. In fact, a recent survey by the National Ski Areas Association revealed that the sticker was among the most recognizable icons in the ski industry. The survey further discovered that people who had never even been to the state of Vermont had seen the sticker and remembered its slogan! More

Snowboards - Shareholders Just Say No

Despite the fact that snowboarders account for 25-30% of all lift tickets sold in the United States, don't expect Mad River Glen to lift its ban on snowboards anytime soon.
